MAINTA GENS MI MALRAZONA
(366.19)
MW, II, 3; Choix, III, 27; Parn. occ., p. 89.
An examination of the variants reveals the close relationship existing between ADEFIKT (cf. 9, 13, 36, 39, 47, 48) —a further subdivision, ADT, EFIK, of this group may be seen in l. 38. PS, as usual, are identical and there appears to be a connection between these two MSS. and M, N, O and R (cf. 7, 9, 13, 44, 47) although the latter are somewhat individualistic in tendency; PS incline to ADEFIKT in 14, 20, 36. Another group Qac is to be observed in 11, 20, 34, 35, 46, 47 (it should be noted, too, that these three MSS. all lack the tornada) and the close connection of a and c is borne out by 17, 24, 38, 39, 44; there is a relationship, too, between ac and PS in 7, 13, 14, 38, 39. C is closely followed by f (cf. 12, 13, 33, 38, 44, 47) but these two MSS. are somewhat isolated in the few variants which they present. The grouping of the MSS. may, then, be summarised as follows: ADT, EFIK; PS, M, N, O, R; Q, ac; Cf
Six coblas doblas, with one tornada of four lines: 7a’ 7b 7a’ 7b 8b 7a’ 7b 6a’. Maus 287 and Anmerkungen, 2, 18. Cf. XVI.
