BE·M CUJAVA QUE NO CHANTES OGUAN
(366.4)
MW, II, 10; Choix, v, 287; Appel, Prov. Inedita, p. 252; I. Frank, Pons de la Guardia, p. 302.
The MSS. vary but little and obviously belong to the same family (cf. the lacuna in v. 5).
Attribution: Both C and R attribute this poem to Peirol. M. István Frank (Pons de la Guardia, pp. 250 et seq.), primarily on the basis of a supposed identification of [On-] Tot-mi-plaz with Marqueza d’Urgel, suggests its attribution to Pons de la Guardia. See Introduction, p. 14.
Six coblas doblas and capfinidas, with one tornada of four lines: a b’ a b’ b’ a a b’, lines of ten syllables. Maus 280.
