GAUCELM, DIGUATZ M’AL VOSTRE SEN
(366.17)
MW, II, 33.
On the whole, the variants show few important divergences, except for M which is strongly individualistic throughout. Oa1 are almost identical (cf. 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 27, 29, 34); GQ seem to belong to the same family (11, 13, 15) and E is often found in agreement with these two (cf. 16, 20, 33, 34, 35). CE also have common readings in 6, 7, 12, whilst G is occasionally linked with M (24, 27). EGOQa1 are unanimous in 3, 23, 25, 31, 38. The groupings therefore seem to be as follows: EGQ(C), Oa1; M.
As none of the surviving MSS. are particularly authoritative, it would appear preferable to construct a composite text.
