There is a well-defined group CERα (3, 4, 11, etc.), CR being closely connected (stanza order, lacking stanza 5; ll. 13, 18). E, however, separates from the group to join MTf in preserving stanza 5 and in the stanza order, which, offered as it is by MSS. belonging to different groups, appears to be the original one, and it also joins these and other MSS. in ll. 1, 5, 7, 13, 18; it therefore occupies an intermediary position. GQ have as usual identical readings (4, 8, 11), and MT (11, 21, lacking l. 49) and Tf (8, 27) are linked, but the two latter MSS. also show affinities with CERα (4).
