Seven MSS. (of which one, C, appears to be defective. Photostat copies of this MS. reveal that stanza I, and the first five lines of stanza 2 are found at the foot of page 396v of the MS. and that 397r is merely a register; it is therefore to be presumed that the remainder of the poem is lost): C 396, E 213, G 92, M 261, O 87 (137), Q 9 (18, p. 17) (this MS. has, as the last verse, a verse taken from 448.1; the verse Gauselm aici . . . occurs at the end of another tenso on Q 24 (p. 49)), a1 601 (339). The poem also occurred on one of the lost pages of R (74-618).
